Antonio Conte, the Chelsea boss has urged the board to step up new contract talks with Thibaut Courtois. Courtois and Chelsea have been locked in talks for many months but no agreement has been reached.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be keen on taking advantage of Courtois situation with 15 months left on his deal.
Earlier this week, Courtois insisted he would be at Chelsea next season but refused to confirm if he will sign a new deal.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s London derby with Tottenham, Conte said he wanted the two parties to agree on a deal.
Conte said: “This is a subject for the club and for Courtois, his contract.
“For sure he is an important player for us. I hope to find a good solution.”
