Former Manchester United player and football legend David Beckham has given his assessment on the job his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been doing at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian has guided the Red Devils to second place in the Premier League, and they are still in contention for silverware in the Europa League and FA Cup.
Speaking as his Inter Miami side launched their new shirt, Beckham was full of praise for his long-term friend.
“Ole has done really well, he is loved by the fans and the players,” Beckham said.
“He is respected because of what he has done in his career and even in difficult times he has performed and given everyone at United hope.
“I wished him a happy birthday the other day and called him boss. He doesn’t call me that – but I might ask him to.”
Beckham recently appointed another old teammate as manager of Inter Miami, with Phil Neville taking the reigns at the MLS team.
