Cristiano Ronaldo Speaks On Proposed Saudi Arabia Move

Cristiano Ronaldo has recently commented on reports that he has agreed a deal to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on a free transfer.

We understand that the 37-year-old has received a world record contract offer from the Saudi Pro League side and will deliberate it over the coming weeks.

A report from Spanish outlet Marca earlier this week insisted that Ronaldo had in fact agreed to sign for Al Nassr.

But speaking to the press after Portugal’s World Cup last 16 tie with Switzerland on Tuesday night, Ronaldo played down these rumours.

“No, that’s not true – not true,” he simply said.

Ronaldo is without a club after mutually agreeing a contract termination with Manchester United earlier in December off the back of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

While on international duty with Portugal, he’s become the first man to score at five different World Cups after netting from the penalty spot in the Selecao’s 3-2 win over Ghana in the group stage.

However, after reacting poorly to be substituted against South Korea, Ronaldo was dropped for Tuesday’s clash with Switzerland, and Portugal’s attack was purring in his absence.

They ran out 6-1 winners at the Lusail Stadium, with Ronaldo’s direct replacement in the starting lineup – Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos – scoring a hat-trick.
