In the recently concluded Edo State governorship election, Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Kuta, announced the results at the collation center in Benin City on Sunday, confirming Okpebholo’s triumph over his main rivals, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).

- Akpata (LP): 22,763 votes
Prof. Kuta declared, “That Okpebholo, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”
