Glazer Family Give Suprise Reaction To Solskjaer’s Sack From Man Utd Job

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure after a slow start to the season with Mauricio Pochettino already being linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days.

However, for Solskjaer to keep hold of his job he needs to get Champions League football.

That is according to Duncan Castles, who claims the Glazer family are content with the Norwegian due to how cheap he is.

Pochettino on the other hand – a strong candidate no doubt – would cost significantly more than Solskjaer does at present.

“It is no secret that no Manchester United manager would survive a sequence of results like that if it is to carry on or a sequence of performances,” Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.

“They weren’t unlucky in any of these games. Their luck was to get that penalty at Brighton.

“Solskjaer has been insulated because he is cheap, because he is popular with the support with his history as a player, because he does not cause conflict with the Glazers.

“He has been presented with the opportunity to criticise the Glazers for not buying in this transfer market and he’s refused to take it.

“For the Glazers, that combination – and as long as he can get them Champions League football – is great.

“It takes the heat off them and it’s cheap and allows them to control the transfer policy through Ed Woodward.

“They’re happy to continue with this process for as long as they can get away with it.”
