Guardiola Accused Of Talking In Codes After Man City’s Draw With Liverpool

Pep Guardiola appeared to be a ‘little bit distant’ and ‘aloof’ in his interviews around Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

The Spaniard only has one year left on his contract, leaving the club uncertain on whether he will renew.

And former City star David James believes there were signs of discontent from the City boss in the draw with Liverpool.

Speaking to Stadium Astro , the former goalkeeper said: “Pep’s future is in question.

“When I watched his pre-match interview, he replicated that in the post-match interview – he looks slightly aloof.

“This is a guy, like Klopp, who can break the game down very well.

“Klopp said it very cleanly about how he thought the game went, even when they made mistakes.

“But Guardiola was saying ‘well, yeah, they scored and we had a penalty we should have scored’ and it was a little bit distant.

“When such an intelligent man who doesn’t mind speaking the truth starts talking in code, I start getting worried about Manchester City.”

It is a large contrast to the Liverpool boss, who used his post-match interview to passionately defend Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s complaints about the scheduling system.
