The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has rescued a 25-year-old woman, Promise Eze, from a suspected armed robber and ritualist.
The incident occurred at a hotel in the Wuse area of Abuja, where the victim was found tied to a chair with her mouth covered in plaster. She was unconscious and in distress when police operatives arrived at the scene on January 31, 2025.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had met the suspect online, where he introduced himself as Michael Prince, an oil company employee from Delta State. However, he allegedly brandished a dagger, threatening and subduing the victim before restraining her and stealing her two mobile phones.
The FCT Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspect and urges residents, especially young women, to exercise caution when meeting individuals they do not know personally. The police can be contacted with relevant information through Emergency Lines: 08032003913 or Complaint Response Unit:Â 08107314192.
