Harry Maguire To Be Jailed For Three Years Unless He Pays Huge Sum Of Money

Harry Maguire could reportedly end up in jail for up to three years if he is convicted for his part in an alleged brawl in Mykonos unless he pays a fee.

The Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire, was arrested with two other men on Thursday night following an altercation outside a bar on the Greek island and appeared in court today on charges which are said to include violence towards a police officer and bodily harm.

Unconfirmed reports have suggested that events unfolded after Maguire’s sister Daisy was stabbed in the arm “with a sharp object”.

The 27-year-old has denied the allegations against him but The Mirror claim should Maguire eventually be convicted then he could avoid prison by taking advantage of a scheme that would require him to pay a daily fee instead.

The newspaper says that over the course of a three-year term that could amount to around £90,000 – around half of Maguire’s weekly wage at Old Trafford.

United sent two lawyers out to Greece to represent their skipper on Friday night and in a statement said that it would be “inappropriate” to comment further at this stage.
