On the 16th of November, 2020, the Honorable member representing Ojo Constituency 2, Surajudeen Tijani Emir, wrote about how he saved the life of Miss Animashaun Aliyah with his timely intervention when it was brought to his notice that she had a need for urgent surgery.
To SAVE A LIFE is a real and beautiful thing. To make a home for the homeless, yes, it is a thing that must be good; whatever the world may say, it cannot be wrong- Vincent Van Gogh………
I was at the Constituency Office on Wednesday 11th November, 2020 when a constituent dashed on me and expressed the urgent need to carry out a surgery on her ailing daughter, Animashaun Aliyah who has been down with acute appendix. The 14 years old girl was in dire pain and a swift intervention is the only redeeming grace.
I immediately put a call across to the Medical Director at Ilogbo Central Hospital, Ilogbo Elegba to commence treatment and proceed with the surgery without any delay. The surgical operation was successfully completed same day and I am glad we saved Aliyah. When I visited her at the medical facility this morning (Monday 16th November), she is now recuperating and we can only expect her on her feet any time soon. Our commitment to the prosperity of our people is never in doubt; it is a pledge, and we will remain steadfast to it !!!
Talking Drum TV tasked with following the activities of the Honorable as well as other politicians visited the patient, on the same day the honorable member was billed to come to pay more money for the already-done surgery. Talking Drum TV, and crew, left with the promise of coming back to pay the mother and sick daughter a visit.
On the said and agreed day for the chat with the mother of Aliyah, Talking Drum TV reports that they were met with rude and ungrateful family members. They said the Honorable had no right to say he saved her life with his post. That his post angered them.
But the crew can confirm that the rudeness made them call off the chat with the mother and adding that not all that was said is printable.
”We commend Emir for his kindness and know that this won’t stop him from continuing the good work. Our aim was to follow up as we did when the Abule-Illogbo road was not motorable, watch the video HERE. We know that this may not be enough but our aim was to put all the good and bad acts of members of the government on record so the people can be well informed when next they’re making another choice for leaders”
