Earlier in the month, TVC invited Kemi Olunloyo being the only journalist that was unraveling the COZArape case for a ‘faceoff’ with Chude Jideonwo the interviewer of Ynaija, that interviewed the rape victims.
Nigerians did not see any faceoff but were told Chude decided to back on it. The show went on and Kemi who suffers #PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) entertained questions from all present. And at some point, her PTSD was used against her.
It was almost said that her PTSD was beclouding her judgment since her investigations were not on the popular side.
This, as you will expect, did no go down well with the journalist who made it clear later that she almost walked out of the set. Nigerians who were waiting for the ‘face-off’ as advertised did not also see the PTSD mention necessary. Apparently, TVC’s Morayo Afolabi Brown reached out to the Journalist.
This evening Kemi Olunloyo made an Instagram post of a WhatsApp chat between her and Morayo. Morayo apologized and thanked the journalist for coming on the show.
Kemi also accepted the apology. See her post below:
I rarely do this. Post my WhatsApp messages online. Many of you demanded a public apology, you trolled @morayobrown’s page after @officialstelladimokokorkus shaded her. True, she pulled me down at the beginning of my interview appearance on July 16th 2019. Many things went wrong. I even clapped back @beeceeugboh on live TV saying Linda Ikeji was never pregnant. I almost walked off the set. If that had happened, you would not have heard what I had to say. @chudeity was the one who chickened out of the show cancelling his appearance not wanting a “face off”.
Bit to mock my mental state and link it to my quality of work was downright LOW. I was upset and even regretted ever sharing my #ptsd experience with @tvcconnect. They are the only station that has followed my mental health state metted upon me in prison thru no fault of my own during the @iyaboojofespris set up to destroy Vivian Metchie. As much as I forgave Iyabo, her name cannot be forgotten in my pain.
Morayo is a fine Presenter and I consider her a junior sister from another mom. We all make mistakes. She has apologized and I accepted. It saddens me though that @instagram saw 3000 ppl BLOCKED on this page. I can’t help it when people that did not donate to my medical fund now post comments like “suddenly her #ptsd has disappeared, @biodunfatoyinbo has paid her N100M” or “give us our N2k back or show us your treatment sheets”. I love TVC and continue to watch the show daily even on YouTube live as the hotel only has Channels. God has continued to send me helpers. An American just passing by dropped $500 asking me why Nigerians abroad ignored a fundraiser trending since 2018 with goal not met. I told her they don’t like my work. A Brazilian man dropped $600 saying his dad died of #ptsdsuicide after war. Nigerians donated 60% and my assignments have reached 80% from my Creator revenues on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I’m receiving psychotherapy in Lagos at N50K a week or N25K per hour. I still see images of executions at SARS PH, the blood and the armed robbery in my Ibadan home which some day never happened because I disputed Dakolo’s case. Many begging to unblock them.
