You will easily agree that Jay Z and Kanye West’s friendship is one of showbiz’s most famous. Yet when Kanye West, 40, called out his bestie’s wife, Beyonce and their daughter Blue Ivy right on stage during one of his concerts… it’s no surprise things have been frosty between the two pair ever since.
Despite the shade being thrown, however, it seems Jay Z, 48, has decided to let go and forgive his outspoken friend.
Speaking on the My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, the 21-time Grammy award winner let us in on he and Kanye’s often stormy relationship by saying: ‘That’s my brother. We’re beyond friends. ‘The thing I respect about him is he is the same person.’ However, he did add that West’s remarks which included their children don’t hang out or visit each other’s homes – struck a nerve.
‘You can‘t bring my kids and my wife into it. He’s talked about me 100 times, he made a song called Big Brother, we’ve gotten past bigger issues,’ he previously revealed to Rap Radar. The New York native insisted that Kanye knows he crossed a line because they had never gone that long before without communicating: ‘I know he knows, because we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements, and we’ve had many.’ We’re delighted to hear they’ve kissed and made up… but we still can’t see Jay Z popping up on Keeping Up With The Kardashians any time soon.
