Jose Mourinho did not hide his feelings to his Manchester United players after watching his side concede a second goal in their game against Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils were already 1-0 down after Andros Townsend’s opener, and Patrick Van Aanholt doubled Crystal Palace’s lead in the second half.
The Netherlands international sped down United’s flank with the ball before firing it past David De Gea at his near post. It was an easy goal that could have been effortlessly avoided with some more organised defending. And Mourinho wasn’t impressed, furiously talking to himself while animatedly waving his arms on the touch line.
The Red Devils did quickly return fire to calm proceedings soon after when Chris Smalling headed home their first goal of the match. Romelu Lukaku then equalised in the 75th minute. However, more lackluster defending over the course of the rest of the season and Mourinho’s side could have their work cut out if they are to secure a top four finish. Manchester United’s next fixture is at home to Liverpool on March 10.
