The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris Kpotum has ordered the withdrawal of police officers attached to individuals and private companies across the country. This is to take effect immediately.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abayomi Shogunle, who is also Head of Police Complaint Rapid Response Unit, revealed this in a statement.
He added that all car owners using ‘SPY’ plate number have also been ordered to return the plate numbers to the Force Transport Officer.
The police also state that a team would be set up to check covering of car plate numbers and illicit use if siren.
