Looks like there is some drama in the palace as rumours are flying that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are butting heads.
And it’s all over their very different approaches when it comes to addressing palace staff.
While 36-year-old Kate is said to be ‘very careful’ in her exchanges with official staff, it seems Meghan has other ideas according to a new book about the royals.
As one of the newest members of the royal family, Meghan is doing her best to adapt to the new restrictions and limitations imposed on her.
The former actress, the Duchess is used to a freedom – and one could say even a freedom of speech – that is no longer afforded to her so it’s no wonder she might slip up here and there!
According to reports, this isn’t the first time Meghan’s attitude has been highlighted though, with the Queen reportedly unimpressed with Meghan’s “difficult” behaviour in the lead up to her wedding to Prince Harry.
It’s said the Duchess of Cambridge had her heart set on a very specific emerald jewelled crown for her big day with Harry proclaiming ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan get’ when the Queen said it wouldn’t be possible for the Duchess to wear it.
‘Meghan cannot have whatever she wants,’ the Queen reportedly responded. ‘She gets what tiara she’s given by me,’
The Queen is said to have warned Harry about how Meghan spoke to staff following the incident, reminding him that she needs to adhere to ‘family protocol.’
While she’s trying to stay true to herself amidst strict rules, the Duchess is thought to have a ‘game plan’ in place to ensure her children don’t grow up spoilt.
The plan includes using public transport and doing household chores… much like any other child.
Harry will certainly be on board with Meghan’s plans having previously admitted to struggling with fame referring to his life in the public eye as a ‘tricky balancing act.’
It’s thought Harry and Meghan’s offspring will also be pardoned royal titles although the decision ultimately stands with the Queen.
