Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, now known as Kemi Lawrence, has released a docuseries titled #PersecutedIJ, detailing her alleged unlawful arrest and persecution.
According to Olunloyo, three individuals involved in her case died mysteriously. She accuses actress Iyabo Ojo of receiving 10 million naira to avoid court testimony, leading to seven adjournments.
Olunloyo claims a police officer revealed Iyabo Ojo’s alleged bribery of a prosecutor. She also alleges a journalist was poisoned and killed during her detention.
The journalist states she was kidnapped by Nigerian Police, and her human rights were severely violated. Former Police Chief Ibrahm Idris now resides in a mental home after alleged abuse by his wife.
Prosecutor Keniebi Okoko, a spiritual son to Pastor David Ibiyeomie, died untimely. Olunloyo claims Okoko attempted to assassinate her twice.
Olunloyo’s parents allegedly celebrated her arrest, leading to her detachment from them for eight years. The journalist suffered significant trauma, losing her $5 million-valued HNNAfrica, endorsements, and social media handles.
Contrary to reports, Olunloyo claims the federal court dismissed the case, and the magistrate court withdrew it.
The allegations have sparked concerns about Nigeria’s justice system, police conduct, and human rights violations.
March 14, 2017: Olunloyo’s arrest at 7:26 a.m.
Activists Deji Adeyanju, Charley Boy, and Omoyele Sowore advocated for Olunloyo’s release.
Former Minister Alabo Douglas supported Olunloyo after her release.
