K!llers Of Anambra Lawmaker Arrested By Police

The Anambra State Police have arrested nine suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Honorable Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Azuka was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, while returning home for Christmas, and his lifeless body was found near the Second Niger Bridge on February 6, 2025.¹

The suspects, aged between 19 and 30, were paraded at the police headquarters in Awka on February 7. One of the suspects, 20-year-old Peter Sunday, has a tattoo with the inscription “No peace 4 d Government” on his chest. The police also recovered two pump-action guns and arrested an additional suspect, Chidiebere Nwosu, in connection with another kidnapping case.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, the police have neutralized over 100 notorious criminals and destroyed several criminal camps across the state. The commissioner expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Executive Governor of Anambra State, and other stakeholders for their support.
