KOGI: Gov. Bello’s Aide Resigns

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on New Media, Odaudu Joel Minister, has resigned his appointment. And this is with immediate effect.

He premised his action on the need to take care of pressing family issues which demand his immediate attention.

The resignation letter was dated December 5, 2018, and sent to the governor through the Secretary to the State Government.

The letter reads:

“Pursuant to Section 306 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), I regret to write and notify you of my decision to resign my position as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media with immediate effect on personal grounds.

“Your Excellency, I am compelled to tender my resignation at this time consequent upon the need to take care of pressing family issues that demand my immediate attention.

“I am one of the very few that worked with this administration from infancy with a very stable mien, utmost sense of sincerity, commitment and consistency, and have always carried out my job description with professional efficiency and tact, with no attempt at compromising or derailing the manifesto of your government to bring it to public ignominy and opprobrium. I feel profoundly elated quitting with this fair record.

“I fulsomely thank you, His Excellency, for granting me the honour of serving under your leadership in the New Direction government, a rare privilege which I do not take for granted.

“I also profusely appreciate the Chief of Staff, Hon. Edward Onoja, through whom I was given the opportunity to be part of the New Direction team.

“I wish you and the good people of Kogi State well.”
