Lee Sharpe Backs Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Amidst Controversy

Manchester United legend Lee Sharpe has backed manager Ruben Amorim’s recent comments about the team.

Amorim had declared the team “the worst in the club’s history” after a defeat to Brighton, but Sharpe believes the manager’s words were “factual” and “honest”. He thinks Amorim was simply stating the team’s underperformance and poor position in the league.

Sharpe also expressed admiration for Amorim’s management style, which includes being open and honest with players. He believes this approach has helped the team respond positively, as evident in their recent wins against Fulham and FCSB in the Europa League. Sharpe thinks the players seem to like Amorim and understand that they need to improve their performance.

Sharpe also shared his thoughts on Marcus Rashford’s situation, calling it a “waste” if the player leaves the club. He believes Rashford has the potential to become a Manchester United legend, but it’s up to him to decide whether he wants to work hard and stay at the club. Additionally, Sharpe thinks young Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu could be a good signing for United, given his attacking style and experience in league football.
