Luis Suarez To Be Arrested After Italian Exam To Gain Passport Failed

Police are investigating claims that Luis Suarez cheated in his Italian exam to gain a passport for his failed move to Juventus.

The Barcelona outcast, 33, was eligible to apply for a passport as his wife, Sofia Balbi, has Italian ancestors – but rules dictate he must pass his language test.

Suarez passed his exam, but – soon after – Juve pulled the plug on the deal.

But now, multiple reports in Italy are claiming the 33-year-old actually cheated and “knew the test questions” in advance but nothing suggests Juventus knew about the “cheating”.

On Tuesday morning, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “There has been ‘irregularities’ in the test of Luis Suarez for Italian Exam in the University for Perugia.

“’Suarez got advance questions, he had the passport by cheating’, according to preliminary investigations [ANSA].

Romano then added that claims have been made that Suarez ‘does not speak a word of Italian’.
