Man Utd Refuse To Be Bullied Into Paying Dortmund’s Asking Price For Sancho

Manchester United are not prepared to give in to Borussia Dortmund’s demands and pay the asking price for Jadon Sancho as they did with Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.

Dortmund still want £108million for the England international but United are not willing to pay that much for Sancho.

United were initially not prepared to pay Leicester City’s £80m asking price for centre-back Maguire before eventually completing a deal in August 2019.

The Red Devils also stalled over Sporting Lisbon’s demands for Fernandes in January before signing the midfielder for £46.6m on deadline day.

But Sky Sports reporter James Cooper says there is no chance United will “capitulate” and pay what Dortmund want for Sancho.

“There are games involved in transfers,” Cooper told Sky Sports News.

“Manchester United have had all sorts of pursuits for all sorts of players and one of the things that is thrown at them quite regularly is the last two major signings they made at Old Trafford – Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes – where they stamped their feet, said they wouldn’t pay and then finally they ended up paying exactly what both those clubs, Leicester and Sporting Lisbon, wanted.

“I’ve been told this morning that won’t be the case with Jadon Sancho.

“There won’t be a kind of capitulation last minute with Manchester United writing that £100m cheque that we’ve talked about. I don’t think that’s going to happen.”
