A newborn baby was discovered in a refuse site in Calabar, Cross River State.
The baby was clad only in diapers and was found among the dirt strewn by the side of the road.
Passersby were shocked when they passed by the illegal dump site in Bateba, Calabar South, early today, November 23, and saw the baby.
Online reports says the child did not survive.
