Nigerian Footballer Chinedu Obasi Joins Bolton Wanderers

Super Eagles former striker, Chinedu Obasi, 31, has signed up with English Championship club Bolton Wanderers on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The club announced the signing of Obasi on their Twitter page on Saturday.

‘Bolton Wanderers are pleased to confirm the signing of Chinedu Obasi on a short-term deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.’

The Enugu born footballer, who started his professional career with Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in 2005, also played for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Schalke 04, AIK and Shenzhen.

Obasi who made over 15 appearances for the Nigerian National team, was part of Nigeria’s U-20 and U-23 teams that finished second at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in the Netherlands in 2005 and at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
