Odion Ighalo was spotted driving to Manchester United training on Friday with talks over his loan extension set to continue.
Sunday’s deadline is drawing near for Old Trafford chiefs to negotiate a deal that would see the Nigerian prolong his stay in England.
Ighalo’s parent club Shanghai Shenhua have softened their stance on extending his six-month loan deal after Ighalo made a personal plea.
And boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear he wants the 30-year-old to stick around until the end of the season.
But following the news that the Premier League will make its long-awaited return on Wednesday 17 June, Solskjaer may have to make do without the former Watford man.
And Solskjaer’s men looked to be relishing the news as they arrived at the Aon Training Complex at Carrington in high spirits.
The group have been back in training since last week, but only individually and in small groups, but they had their first full-contact session on Thursday.
