President Buhari To Probe Obasanjo? Questions On Spending $16bn On Power Projects During His Administration

Looks like the cold war between President Buhari and former president Olusegun Obasanjo has taken a different dimension today. This is as President Buhari queried the spending of $16bn on power project during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Buhari said this while receiving members of the Buhari Support Organization led by the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Ahmed Ali, at the statehouse Abuja today May 22nd.

Although he did not go as far as mentioning any name, Buhari asked where was the power after a former president claimed to have spent $16bn on the project. He said questions must be asked.

”Where was the power after a former president claimed to have spent $16 billion on the project?” he said

This statement by President Buhari comes after multiple attacks from the former president on his government.

At different occasions and through different media, Obasanjo has asked Nigerians to kick the Buhari-led government out of office come 2019.
