Going by SCORENigeria, some senior players in the Super Eagles now want to push out coach Gernot Rohr.
This is coming on the heels of a reported bust-up between the coach and Leon Balogun after the loss to Madagascar.
Balogun openly disagreed with Rohr that he alone was to blame for the opening goal against the Eagles and the Brighton defender did so in German.
SCORENigeria specially gathered that the players are very unimpressed that the team still do not have a pattern even after Rohr took over for the past three years.
“Can you believe that we still don’t have a pattern of play after this man has been in charge for three straight years,” one of the players told SCORENigeria in confidence.
“You can say he has only been lucky with results but there are some local coaches have already proved they can do better if they were given the same support the white man got.”
Rohr appears to have lost his dressing room going by recent events in Egypt with some of the players already vowing not to return to the national team as long as Rohr remains in charge.
Nigeria was on Sunday shocked by debutant Madagascar after being trashed 2-0.
Media reports in Nigeria have already suggested Rohr will be fired no matter how the country fare at this year’s AFCON in Egypt.
Rohr’s contract has a year left after the NFF extending it by two years just before the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
