7 YEARS AFTER THE SALVATION MINISTRY CASE
Pastor David Ibiyeomie case 7yr Anniversary March 14th 2017. This is what you all forgot yesterday. Lots of misconceptions about this case. The internet outage did not let me post it. PLS SHARE.
STATEMENT BY DR KEMI OLUNLOYO 3/13/24
Today March 17th 2024 marks 7 years Pastor David Ibiyeomie, his late spiritual son Kenebie Okoko and his lawyers ordered Nigerian Police Federal SARS IGP Monitoring unit to storm my family house in Ikolaba, Ibadan at 7:30am in the morning March 14th, 2017 to arrest me because I refuse to take a post down which was an 8-page news tip I received and had begun investigating. Nobody knew it was an 8 page document. I gave it to Mrs Peace Ibiyeomie before I left Port Harcourt in 2018. It was the beginning of the end of my 30 yr journalism career and they destroyed my life forever. I lost my $5M news platform #HNNAfrica, developed #PTSD, suicidal tendencies and hatred for police, the Nigerian government and my parents. Even some of the lawyers who worked probono under Kayode Ajulo took bribes from Kenebie Okoko, Ajulo worked for clout so his name could be in lights, mismanaged my case and backed out of his promise to sue NPF on my behalf for mental damages and human rights violations they caused me, Late Kenebie Okoko even planned to assassinate me twice but failed. I detailed those on TikTok. Before he died, the late 42yo billionaire apologized for everything he did and gave me “N100K to buy new clothes and eat a decent meal” in his own words when I finally left prison needless to say he had me arrested two more times with a total of 3 arrests and 6 months in prison for something I didn’t do. They claimed I defamed Ibiyeomie in an article when I simply published allegations using non affirmative words journalists are supposed to use. The Federal court eventually dismissed the case after Facebook’s legal department who owned Instagram said I did not write the document I published as it was SENT to me in their Instagram DM by a Nigerian phone number. Ibiyeomie’s lawyers consequently withdrew the case in magistrate court after the federal judge disgraced them. I visited Ibiyeomie’s office with late Alabo Tonye Graham-Douglas and he prayed for me while Alabo asked me to do a testimony where I vowed that those behind my case will be dealt with mercilessly by God. It was televised on live TV. I
want to thank those that genuinely fought for my release mainly Attorney and Activist Mr Deji Adeyanju while others did it for their own clout and exposure. This case destroyed my life forever. It took a lot from me and I have never been able to recover from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Iyabo Ojo, one of the plaintiffs in the case has consistently mocked my #PTSD from the moment I came out of prison till date anytime she feels like. It was her own former PA that sent the newstip I began investigating accusing her of collecting a car gift from the pastor, a vehicle meant for transportation of church members. This story was actually the story of Iyabo’s friend Vivian Metchie and Apostle Suleman where Suleman gave Metchie a car gift after her illness and Iyabo was jealous. They just changed the pastor’s name and gave the 8 page FAKE letter to a journalist getting me locked up in prison. I started investigating the facts but was never given the chance and was raided and arrested. The writer paid Iyabo’s estranged PA Gbeminiyi Adegbola money to send it to the journalist. According to Liz Anjorin in 2018, the writer was Toyin Abraham who was having a beef with Iyabo and Mercy then Aigbe Gentry. Iyabo’s PA was trying to destroy her reputation and they all dragged me into their Nollywood madness. Toyin has always denied she wrote the letter, Gbeminiyi insisted Toyin gave it to her. We will never know who constructed that 8 page letter that forever destroyed my life, my business and my livelihood.
Because of the Ibiyeomie case, I never took any newstips from anyone again which caused endangerment of many. The Deborah jungle justice case in Sokoto came to my DM as well when it was developing as well as Dr Chinelo’s tweet when she was shot in the hijacked train but I ignored them. Both ladies eventually were killed. A journalist can make a difference in real time but for me it’s about once bitten, twice shy.
Contrary to popular belief, I did not receive any compensation from the #EndSars hearings in Oyo state as I was mentally drained and couldn’t testify. Also I have never received a penny from or asked for money from Pastor Ibiyeomie or Governor Seyi Makinde in the #EndSars part. SARS officers kidnapped me to Port Harcourt without the knowledge of my son and the public saying I’m going to CID on a criminal matter. I moved on with my work creating a new NEWS brand #Kemitalks asking for donations from readers to crowdfund my work from 2018 to February 9th 2024 the day I retired after 3 decades in journalism.
The late attorney general of Rivers state Chinwe Aguma even said I was not a journalist or blogger, just a woman who hates men of God. He died in his sleep in a UK hotel room on a business trip. He repeatedly ignored calls from the Oyo state Attorney General at the time Seun Abimbola (who was also a relative my first cousin) and Attorney Rotimi Akeredolu my civil lawyer who all intervened. I have no faith in the system, the Nigerian police and my parents: my father who sold me out telling SARS my exact location that morning, then boasting to journalists at NUJ suya spot about how happy he was because I always write negative things about men of God and no journalist should and my mom who wrote in a WhatsApp group how happy she was on my arrest that they will be able to rest a bit while I was in prison. She hates journalism and once told me to quit “that rubbish profession” The screenshot was sent to me. I have not seen or spoken to them since 2018/2019 when I left Ibadan and will never as long as I live. The police officers in the case also apologized to me and one working for FFK admitted planning the entire kidnapping event from Ibadan to Port Harcourt. Iyabo Ojo even apologized on her estranged PA’s behalf in 2019 when she realized the real sequence of events that indirectly inflicted harm on me only to resume mocking my mental health 2023 during the Mohbad case posting my #ptsd videos because she didn’t like my investigation. A true snake as Liz Anjorin calls her. One of the policemen involved also revealed to me in 2023 that late Kenebie Okoko even paid Iyabo N10M in cash never to come to court meaning I will always be returned to my prison cell and case adjourned. I ended up living in prison 6 months for a crime I did not commit.
IGP Idris who now lives in a mental facility after atrocities inflicted by his wife was paid N1B (billion) according to the same cop. Truecaller traced the phone number of the fake Instagram account that sent me the fake newstip and it was Iyabo Ojo Pinkies group, a phone line carried by Gbeminiyi Adegbola the estranged PA meaning that Gbemi truly wanted to damage Iyabo’s reputation after being accused of stealing funds from Iyabo’s NGO.
I have never recovered from #PTSD. I’m in 50% recovery broken and shattered. I left Nigeria early February 2023 to improve and guard my mental health and better my life.
