Solskjaer Confirms Who Will Be Man Utd Captain After Harry Maguire Arrest

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed who will be Manchester United captain in the wake of Harry Maguire’s Mykonos arrest.

The Norwegian boss says he’s sticking by Maguire and happy for the former Leicester defender to continue leading his side.

Former Leicester defender, 27, faces a retrial after being handed a suspended jail sentence.

Speaking to MUTV, Solskjaer said: “He’s handled it really well and, of course, I’ll be here to support him. He is going to be our captain.”

The arresting officer on the night the fight erupted claimed the £85million defender launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at cops as they tried to detain him.

The England international is then said to have pushed officers along with brother Joe and friend Chris Sharman, who were found guilty alongside Maguire.

But he denied throwing any punches and rubbished claims he tried to bribe the police, with his lawyers lodging an appeal against his convictions.

The move nullifies the initial verdict and means there will be a retrial in a more senior court.

Breaking his silence, an emotional Harry told the BBC: “I did nothing wrong.”
