This is so true according to Luke 1: 37-47, for there is nothing God cannot do. For Christians this is like a charge on God’s word.
For a group of Nigerians and even non-Nigerians, it is not just a charge but like an identity. For the New Season Prophetic Prayers observers, it is a slogan; way to encourage themselves.
They may not necessarily be members of the Streams of Joy International, headed by Pastor Jerry Eze, but you are sure to have them glued to their electronic devices early in the morning and mostly screaming ‘Amen’ in affirmation to the ongoing prayers.
Most of them do not even mind that they are in public, they would have their devices on speaker and most times disturbing the environment (even when these environments are) a closed space, like inside a commercial vehicle.
These are not the main issues or reason that spurred this write up.
The NSPP was unknown to me until I met two people (they don’t know themselves). From the first day I met them, there was every reason not to want to come close to them, even with their fire brand prayer style. They are first to antagonize you, tear you to shreds with the same mouth they use to claim the blessings from Pastor Jerry Eze, and they will never let a bad deed against them slide.
They are always ready to ‘dig’ it out with any time any day, even immediately after their prayer (sloganistic screed)… ‘What God cannot do does not exist.’ Indeed.
Is it possible that this is how they grew up and do not see a problem with their attitude or is it that their prayers have no effect on them? Could it be that to be a member of NSPP your attitude and human relations must be sour? Is Pastor Eze like this? If not, can we really not raise prayer points against the attitude and character of these ‘fire brands?’ because what God cannot do does not exist?
If two distinct people can have the same character and have negative energies around them, is this God’s doing too or man?
