Nigerian music legend Majek Fashek will be buried in New York, the United States where he died.
Some unconfirmed sources tell reporterswall that this is due to lack of funds to bring his remains back to Nigeria, but his family say different.
Majek Fashek’s first child with his ex-wife Rita, made the announcement in a video shared on Monday, August 10.
He thanked the musician’s fans and well-wishers for their love and support and further revealed that they were forced to take the decision of burying the late reggae icon in New York due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Recall that Majek Fashek died on June 1, 2020 at the age of 57 while battling esophageal cancer.
